K. William Kautz Folk Art

Will Kautz of Hartland, Vermont began carving to bring in money during his days as a law student.  His designs began to sell much faster than he expected at that time, and even after opening a volunteer law practice he was able to support his family with his wonderful folk art sculptures.

Will uses the finest materials and techniques in his creations: Williamsburg paints, 24 carat gold leaf, American hardwoods, metals, and even antique found items such as wheels and bells.

During his 30 years as an artist, Will has sold his art to appreciative customers at craft shows and to collectors around the world.  You can find his fine pieces of American folk art at Colonial Williamsburg, at the Shelburne Museum and the Museum of American Folk Art.  Early American Homes magazine has listed him in its Directory of America's Best Traditional Craftsmen.

Painted Furniture Barn is proud to offer the works of this wonderful artisan.
